PLANT FOOD ATELIER is the coming together of multiple services related to a sustainable lifestyle, food design & modern nutrition. Our holistic approach takes into account the wide spectrum of our being. With focus on plant based dining and nutrition, we also provide other complimentary services from photography to full branding specific to sustainable and wellness businesses. Our primary goal besides spreading the plant based lifestyle and elevating it through the principles of design, is to support an individual in their positive relationship with food through nutrition and lifestyle consulting.

Originally formed as a recipe development service alongside Vinny’s Plant Based & Vinny's Warung, Plantfood Atelier now offers insight into holistic nutrition. The founder Vinny Mathilda is an artist - turned - chef who adds taste and smell to composition, color and texture, embracing the art of dining. A Kriya Yoga disciple since 6 years old, Vinny integrates the way of yoga into Plantfood Atelier making our work unique and health oriented.

Without insistent focus on one diet or fad, we suggest ways of listening to your own body, in order to avoid excessive planning or added stress to your plate. With Yogic techniques that can help treat eating disorders and Tao inspired approach to balancing through food we are here for the one who seeks a truly healthy lifestyle and unconventional freedom.

Oh hey! Welcome to Plantfood Atelier,

 so glad you stopped by.

My name is Vinny Mathilda, 

balancing SPIRITUALITY , CREATIVITY and BUSINESS is my life purpose while finding a middle ground between ambition and a need for safety is my journey. I have learned the things we do daily such as eat, drink and sleep are the exact things that need most of our attention - and can benefit us in ways we can hardly imagine - drastically improving the quality of our life, work and experience here on earth. 

 

I've grown up in the arts; my father a musician, my mother a multidisciplinary artist and designer - a variety of art forms make up my abstract composition. My current and most valued passion is Plant Based Nutrition in creative light. Food is in all aspects ART for the mind body and soul. I strive to keep that art one of positive vibrations. 

QUALIFICATIONS

With over 10 years culinary experience I've worked at top plant based restaurant in the US such as Mesa Verde in Santa Barbara and Plant food & Wine in Venice, CA. I have completed my COE Plant Based Nutrition Training as well as Food Future Institute chef training. Meanwhile I started and fully managed a successful plant based restaurant and caterer for the past 5 years that only closed due to the pandemic. Vinny's Plantbased still operates as a caterer and a natural foods business. Interpreting the closing of the venue as a blessing in disguise I am now able to put forth more focus to the art of cuisine. 

 

As a qualified and certified Pranayama, Meditation & Hatha teacher with over 20 years of experience in Kriya Yoga, I incorporate this extensive knowledge into Plant Food Atelier. 

My vision is a mix of AYURVEDA and TAO which I have both studied in-depth. My work is aways custom to the client due to our geographical differences and specific health needs

& taste preferences.

 < I'd like to add that I've also cured a 5 year long eating disorder with yogic practice and a positive mindset without ever entering the hospital. with an experienced outlook and knowledge of human relationship with food I carry with me some very helpful tools on how to make it a healthy and simple one.  >

As for my recipes, As a Croatian who grew up in Bali and studied Fine Art in sunny California, I am inspired by all my "home foods" - my fusion of flavors is comforting and rejuvenating. I admire the simplicity of Japanese and Italian cuisine, and absolutely indulge in Mexican flavors. 

The tomato is my favorite food.
